New Books and Old Clothes
Monday, November 23, 2009

Happy Birthday, Ainin Sofia!
hope you had a wonderful birthday after I wished you through text. (:

Anyway, I went to One Utama yesterday with my family.
My dad was searching for a new fruit juicer (since my old one rosak), my brother was searching for boot-cut black jeans and I was searching for books to buy since I had the MPH voucher to use.
I went with my mum to MPH. :D

I ended up buying two books.
1. "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold
2. "Starting Over" by Tony Parsons

I actually spotted the first book right next to "The Time Traveller's Wife", so thinking it'd be something similar to TTTW, I took one right off the shelf. (I read TTTW a year ago, and actually loved it)

The second book; I actually intended to buy Tony Parson's other book, "Man and Boy", but I couldn't find it, so I decided to buy SO instead.

Currently reading "Starting Over", and I quite like it.
Planning to read "The Lovely Bones" during the plane ride next Friday to Melbourne.

I was merely reading "Starting Over" in the family room this afternoon and heard my father calling me from downstairs.
I went downstairs and he opened a suitcase full of my mother's old clothes, and then he told me to try the clothes on.
I did, and I fit perfectly in the high-waisted skirts, pants, shirts and even a pair of Calvin Klein jeans.
My mother was there too, helping me to button the skirts and pants which were buttoned at the back.
She looked at me all the while and wondered how small she was back then.

I thought it was kind of weird, since I'm 13 and her clothes which she wore in the 30's fit me perfectly.

Oh well, at least I have some vintage clothes to add to my wardrobe now.
Thanks, mum. (;

1 Aktif '09 ; 2 Aktif '10 // Hari Anugerah
Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Yesterday was the end of school.
Only
22 people went.
Gosh, I'm sure going to miss the people who are leaving 1 Aktif - and not joining everyone (maybe) again in 2 Aktif '10.

Kiwan's migrating to Scotland - so far, omg.
Nasiha's going to be schooling in Bukit Jelutong.
Imad and Syafiqah are maybe tranferring schools.
Afifa's migrating to Canada in June.
Emily's maybe transferring schools - to Australia(?).
boohoo. );

On a lighter note, I went to my primary school after school yesterday with Jazmeen.
Met up with old friends. (:
Mei Ping, Irene, Syafinas, Kay Li, Sarah, Gayithiri, Yee Li, Hui Mei, Zul, Geoffrey.
Bridget couldn't come since she has school. ):

All the people yang terpilih were 5A achievers.
We had to naik pentas and get our gifts, which are
RM50 MPH gift vouchers.
Then we went to the canteen and ate.

Ohmygod, most of the DJ1 standard 6 are tall - taller than most of us Form 1's.
Proof: We stood next to Tyen Yee and measured our heights.
End result: She's taller than most of us.
...must be the canteen food...

That's all, folks!

Caught in a Bad Romance
Thursday, November 12, 2009

Had a farewell/birthday party today.
We ate pizza, KFC chicken and cakes.
Fuhh, kenyang.
:D

Anyway, there's camp tomorrow until Sunday.
But I'm not going since my mum's worried about me being at camp during musim hujan.
And I'm a bit worried about... girl stuff. >_o

Oh, next week is the last week of school.
Last day for Form 1, 2 and 3 is on Tuesday.
YEAHH. (;

Hm, I guess I'm done.
Here's a new video by
Lady Gaga that I find quite.. interesting.

"Rain" by Mika

Currently watching 'Once' on TV, again.
Going to The Curve soon with my mum to shop. :D

School wasn't much fun since we still have to study.
Kinda.
We had to do latihan during BM, a boring spelling-thing during English and a game of Scrabble using only scientific words during Science.
Challenging? Somewhat.
Boring? Very.

We also received our Form 2 textbooks today; even though we're only using them next year.
Oh well, at least I can skim through some of the textbooks before school re-opens.

Report cards are here too.
This time, parents needn't go for parent-teacher conference. Heh.
I got number 6. (18 -> 16 -> 6)
(:

Update
Friday, November 6, 2009

Just finished watching Glee; season 1, episode 7.
Show's nice.
I love their singing performances; one of which is as posted above.
The video above is only the guys though, since the girls did another performance - episode featured Guys VS Girls performances. (episode 6)
I like the guys' performance better than the girls. :P

Anyway, tomorrow's my school's Hari Kantin - going to see Irene and Mei Ping there.
On Sunday, I have a class outing/farewell party at Italiannies, Curve since there are quite a number of people leaving us next year.
Aand, choral speaking on Monday morning.
oh, gosh. :/
